Throughout our program LIT’s learn how to perform rescues using different pieces of equipment. There are:
- Unequipped rescues, which require no equipment
- Equipped rescues which make use of the rescue can, or torpedo,
- Paddleboard rescues which use the rescue boards, or paddleboards, and
- Line rescues which use the rescue line, or reel, and require at least 3 people.
The LIT instructors have created videos of how to perform each of these rescues on both conscious and unconscious victims. We hope that these videos are helpful for our current and previous LIT’s. There are also step-by-step directions on how to perform these rescues which can be referenced while watching the videos.
